1. The Service

LankanLoop provides an online community resource for discovering Sri Lankan businesses, events, deals, news, and related information in the United States. Features may change over time. We may suspend or discontinue any part of the Service with or without notice.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use certain features (for example, submitting content or creating an account). You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Community submissions

Listings, events, deals, reviews, images, links, and other materials you submit (“User Content”) must be accurate to the best of your knowledge and must not violate law or these Terms. You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant LankanLoop a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, distribute, and otherwise use User Content to operate, promote, and improve the Service. You represent that you have the rights needed to grant this license.

We may review, edit, refuse, remove, or unpublish User Content at our discretion (for example, for quality, accuracy, safety, or legal compliance). Submission does not guarantee publication.

4. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate applicable law or infringe others’ intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
• Post false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or obscene content;
• Upload malware, probe or stress systems without authorization, or interfere with the Service;
• Scrape or collect data from the Service in bulk without our written permission;
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation;
• Use the Service for unsolicited commercial messaging or spam;
• Circumvent security, access controls, or usage limits.

5. Reviews and feedback

Reviews should reflect genuine experience and comply with these Terms. We may remove reviews that appear fake, abusive, off-topic, or otherwise inappropriate. Feedback you provide to us may be used without obligation to you.

6. Third-party links and tools

The Service may link to third-party websites, maps, ticketing pages, or payment providers. We do not control third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, and original content (excluding User Content), is owned by LankanLoop or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly allowed, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service without permission.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Information on the Service is supplied by the community and third parties. We do not endorse all listings, events, or deals and do not guarantee accuracy, safety, or quality. You are responsible for verifying details before relying on them (for example, hours, prices, and event dates).

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LANKANLOOP AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100), IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

10. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LankanLoop and its operators, affiliates, and personnel from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity) will survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where prohibited by your local law. You agree that courts in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction where applicable.

13. Changes

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
